I received a BA in English Literature from Wichita State University and went on to become a psychotherapist after earning a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas. My therapy career has been working with individuals, couples and groups on life issues.
In the 1990s I wrote a weekly column for The Wichita Eagle called “Intimacy.” It ran for five years.
Eighteen years ago, I added yet another career—-singer/guitarist with THE STORYS, a musical duo with my partner Bill Duryea.
For the past 14 years, I’ve written a monthly column called, “Close Connections,” in Life After 50, a Colorado Springs area magazine.
Currently, I’m doing psychotherapy in office and via telephone.
There are more details about how I came to create Our Close Connections in the article “Reinventing Myself” on this site.
